Bio
Gianluca Mura is a transdisciplinary media researcher, architect, digital artist and designer.
He lives and works in Milano, Italy. His research area is within digital cultures interrelations among Art, Science and Technology. He holds a Phd in Industrial Design and Multimedia Communication from the Politecnico di Milano University. He has teaching experience in Design University and Professional courses.
Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Scientific Journal of Art,Culture and Design Technologies(IJACDT). He is a member of International Scientific Committees on CyberWorlds (CW),Computational Aesthetics (CAE and ARTECH),American Society of Cybernetics(ASC), Engineering Technological Innovations(IMETI), Computing,Communication and Control Technologies (CCCT), MIMOS (Italian Movement on Modelling and Simulation), International Arts Symposium. He is Chair of the CYBERWORLDS HCI session and CCCT "Interactive Communication Design Systems" session.
He organized the International Workshop "Virtuality in Arts and Design" between Politecnico di Milano and Ecole du Louvre,Paris which has obtained a High Patronage of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Farnesina, Rome. His recent digital artwork "The Metaplastic Constructor" has been exhibited on the Museum of Modern Art of Touluca, Mexico and into the Rhizome Artbase network and included in their digital art collection. It's also used as a case-study within the course of "Digital Humanities" at the Stanford University. He is doing research, publishes artworks and actively partecipates to numerous International Meetings on Digital Culture.
